The Supreme Council Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines recently instituted its 87th Chapter in the country under its current charter. Koronadal Chapter Order of DeMolay, sponsored by Koronadal Lodge No. 209 F. & A.M., was granted and presented its Letters Temporary, to exist and operate as a legitimate DeMolay Chapter under the auspices of the Supreme Council Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines, last July 2, 2017 at the Koronadal Masonic Temple in Koronadal City. The institution ceremony was carried out in concert with the 1st Installation of Officers of the newly created chapter.

The Jurisdictional Deputy Grand Master for Mindanao Brother Manuel Liam C. Garcia, Chev., who was on hand to represent the Grand Master of the Supreme Council Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines Honorable Edison Abella, LOH, DGC, officiated the institution of the new chapter. He was joined by Brother Jimmy C. Andang, Chev., the Executive Officer for Region XI-C of the Supreme Council Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines.

On hand to accept the Letters Temporary were the members of the Advisory Council of Koronadal Chapter led by its Chairman Brother Suharto T. Mangudadato, Al Haj, Chev., LOH together with Dad Adonis G. Agreda, PDDGM, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council and Dad Aubrey John Gedorio, Chapter Advisor of Koronadal Chapter Order of DeMolay. We also attract representatives of the educational sector to our community and discuss current trends among the interests of the younger generation. Among the invited guests of our gatherings are teachers, students, athletes, and essay writers.

Immediately after the institution, the induction of the Advisory Council officers and members then followed. They took their respective oath of offices before the Executive Officer of Region XI-C Supreme Council Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines Brother Jimmy C. Andang, Chev.

After a short recess, the Conferral Teams from Daguma Mountain Range Chapter Order of DeMolay in Tacurong City and Mount Matutum Chapter Order of DeMolay in General Santos City conferred the Initiatory Degree and DeMolay Degree respectively upon the new members of Koronadal Chapter.

Thereafter, the very first Installation of Officers of Koronadal Chapter Order of DeMolay ensued. Leading the Installing dignitaries were Brother Jan Michael Vincent S. Benzonan, Chev., performing as Installing Officer, Brother Carl Michael Macaraeg as Installing Senior Councilor and Brother Junax Rey M. Asis, PMC as Installing Junior Councilor. Joining them on the team were Brothers Dave Rustom A. Bella as Installing Marshal, Louis Dino D. Lim as Installing Chaplain, Jose Mari D. Lumanog as Installing Senior Deacon and Alexis Jude K. Dela Cruz, PMC as Adjutant respectively.

Leading the first set of elected officers, to be installed, from Koronadal Chapter Order of DeMolay were the following: Brother Vincent B. Figueroa as Master Councilor, Brother Joshua Oswald J. Pagunsan as Senior Councilor, Brother Paul A. Genine as Junior Councilor, Brother Schoen Myko D. Gedorio as Scribe and Brother James Brian M. Barreto as Treasurer.

The other dignitaries in attendance were the Worshipful Master of the sponsoring masonic lodge Koronadal Lodge No. 209 F. & A.M., Dad Francis Trabado, the District Deputy Grand Master for R-XII SOCSKSARGEN of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the Philippines Dad Emmanuel E. Magrina and the Jurisdictional Master Councilor for Mindanao of the DeMolay National Congress Brother Paolo Buyan.
